This was a great find. Good food at reasonable prices. Large menu so everyone can find exactly what they want. Service was very good with friendly servers. No problem with special requests. Will definitely keep this high on our breakfast list.

I am from Minnesota but visiting my fiancés family here in Tennessee. We were hungry for some breakfast and wanted to check this place out. To our sweet surprise the food was absolutely delicious, service was fantastic, prices was very affordable. Told my fiancé that this was the best dang French toast I’ve ever had. I really hope this place is open next year when we visit again, would love to come back!! Thank you for a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!! :)

I cleaned my plates! You honestly couldn't ask for a better southern diner breakfast. Fluffy biscuits, perfectly cooked eggs, huge sausage patty, yummy hashbrowns, and a wonderful pancake.The place is clean, and the staff has wonderful southern hospitality. Whether you live in Columbia or you're just passing through, I would 100% recommend breakfast at The Stubborn Mule.

First and foremost, I don’t ever write reviews. For me to come in here says a lot. A few weeks back, the wife and I brought our kids to this place while on vacation. The service was amazing! The decor had a modern southern and warm feel to it. I actually purchased the same donkey painting in the men’s bathroom after my visit. The breakfast was the best I’ve had. Not sure what they cook the hash browns with but they were amazing. The prices were great for the food you get. We enjoyed the place so much we bought a few drinking cups and hats for myself and the kids. If you are anywhere near this place in your travels, it’s a must!

Just happened across this place online as we were traveling through. Great find, wonderful place, great food and service was awesome. Really good sweet tea and all our food was hot and delicious. We will certainly be back when we are in the area!
